What Spring Hope Is Like
Spring Hope grew up around the railroad. The town moved to its current spot when a rail spur from Rocky Mount arrived in 1886, and it incorporated in 1889. The 1888 train depot is now the town library.
Every October since 1971, downtown fills up for the National Pumpkin Festival. The rest of the year, Main Street has antique shops and long-running local businesses, and Spring Hope is part of the NC Small Town Main Street program. This is where I live and work, and where Heart To Homes Realty started.
